Technology is changing our social interaction patterns. Core social networking technologies such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin are so very popular as well take up alot of our personal time. This type of addictive technology can lead to social isolation and present health risks such as psychological and physical degradation over a period of time.
Today, I would like to introduce the RAND Social Health Battery scale. This assessment scale can measure areas such as social resources (number of friends), the frequency of connecting with friends, and/or involvement in group activities. Also, the assessment scale can cover topics such as home, family, friendship, social and community life. However, it doesn’t cover work related performance or satisfaction with relationships.
