Online Survey Platforms vs Paper Based Surveys
Last week, I was given a paper-based survey by ABC Company. It was quite surprising to say the least. So, today I would like to briefly tackle why Government, Institutions and Evaluators choose Online Canadian Survey Platforms like the FactFinder Solution powered by Jitsutech over traditional Paper-Based Surveys?
As we know, the cost of employees to administer paper-based surveys is rising especially if the researchers are manually interpreting the lengthy Questionnaires or Surveys. In addition, there is the underlying cost for organizations to print out large paper-based surveys.
However, some respondents in remote areas may argue that they can read better while completing paper surveys and they can take their time in answering all the questions. Certainly, both arguments are very valid.
Online Canadian Survey Platforms can collect large amounts of data in a short period of time. The quantitative or qualitative results can be downloaded easily in .CSV, .PDF or .SPSS format for data analytics in specialized software. Also, the entire research process can be anonymous for individuals thereby following ethical standards involving human participants in Canada as well FIPPA in British Columbia.
I believe Government, Institutions and Evaluators should not choose paper based-surveys anymore because of the costs associated with data collection and the time needed to analyze the data is enormous. Online Canadian Surveys Platforms can collect a large amount of data quickly, the data results are automatic and there is overall more flexibility such as Skip Logic or Conditional Logic and more.
