BC Adolescent Health Survey
Over the next few months, I will use the Jitsutech University platform to bring light to many initiatives that are taking place in the Health Care Industry and provide simple overviews of how my fellow colleagues are making an impact. Today, I will discuss the BC Adolescent Health Survey.
The BC Adolescent Health Survey has been conducted since 1992 by the McCreary Centre Society and in collaboration with the Provincial Government of British Columbia. The main purpose of this research is to gather data from students who are in grades 7-12 and the questions are specifically obtaining feedback about this target populations health.
The areas of focus include:
- Mental Health
- Physical Health
- Alcohol & Drugs
- Nutrition & Sleep
- Exercise & Bullying
- …and Much More!
To date, over 130,000 students have completed this survey which is absolutely incredible. These types of surveys are such an important part of developing health plans for youth that I would encourage the feedback to move from paper based to an online system such as the FactFinder Solution. The nice thing is that these students can use Desktops, Laptops, Tablets or Mobile Devices to complete the Survey and the results are automatically tabulated which can save a ton of employee hours.
